Cancer Champions Training Underway

We are delighted at the uptake of our dedicated training programme – with more than 40 people now recognised as Cancer Champions throughout Shropshire and Mid Wales.

Training courses run by Holly, Michelle and Miranda have been well attended and we’ve had a great response to them.

“Our Cancer Champions project has reached a really exciting phase, we now have volunteer recruits out there in our community talking to their peers about cancer. We can’t stress enough that getting an early cancer diagnosis is a vital part of the fight in beating it. By raising awareness about cancer and engaging everyone in the national cancer screening programmes we are driving forward the fight in Shropshire, Telford and Mid Wales.”
