Core20PLUS
The Core20PLUS programme builds on work previously done by NHS England to address health inequalities and deliver meaningful change. It builds on many community-based, and often volunteer-lead initiatives, to reach out into areas most in need of support to access health services including cancer screening invitations.
The Shropshire and Telford cancer Champions campaign is funded through Wave 1 of the NHS England and NHS Improvement Core20PLUS Connectors Programme. It focuses on cancer, cancer screening uptake, early diagnosis awareness and prevention. The project partners are NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire Council and Telford & Wrekin Council, as well as delivery partners Lingen Davies Cancer Fund (Telford) and Qube (Shropshire).

Helen works for Lingen Davies Cancer Fund in its LiveLife Cancer Awareness Service and is based in the charity’s Newtown office.
